Hot Foil Stamping

Is the process of using heat and pressure to apply metallic foil to the plastic moulding to enhance the cosmetic appearance of the parts with a logo and branding. We can apply a range of cosmetic foils to suit your application needs.

Pad Printing

Also called tampo printing, is a printing process where a silicon pad takes a 2-D image from a printing plate and transfers it to a 3-D object. At Melton Plastics we offer pad printing in single and two-colour options.

Heat Staking

Is a process by which two or more plastic part can be joined together or metal components like brass inserts are assembled into the plastic parts. Using our sliding table heat staking equipment, we can join plastic parts together or assemble brass insert into injection moulded parts. We can also assemble self-taping brass inserts using self-tapping insert drivers.

Precision Machining

Some applications require extremely high level of dimensional tolerances or straight walls, which may not be possible using injection moulding process. In these cases, the moulding parts can be put through a secondary operation of machining to achieve the required part tolerances and geometry. At Melton Plastics our toolroom is capable of machining both plastic and metal parts offering precisely engineered components required for your applications.
